Grinch Tour Week 3: Durham
/I have said it before and I'll say it again: Durham is one hell of a town. I've been here a few times with PitchBlak and we always have such a lovely time. Diverse community, great food, great bars... It's been a pleasure to get to live here for a week. Here's a picture of the iconic Lucky Strike water tower that can be seen from my hotel room:
The fine people at the Durham Performing Arts Center threw us an opening night party. Here I am with most of the orchestra. It was Brett's birthday!
Seven shows to go in Durham, four of which are tomorrow!
The Saenger Theatre
/What a delight it was to play in New Orleans for a week at the absolutely stunning Saenger Theatre. I hope to get back to this great city soon!
GOAT?
/Throwback to Opening Night
/Shout out to all the great people of Midland, MI who made us feel right at home. We played 4 preview shows there. Here I am on opening night.
The Grinch: Tech Day
/All loaded into the pit. Great crew here that makes me life easy!
The Grinch: Day 1
/Rehearsals for the national tour of How The Grinch Stole Christmas started today in Midland, MI. Here is a picture of everything neatly in its case and everything neatly assembled. Special thanks to Russ Nyberg who fulfilled the rental at Carroll Music. Russ is also playing the Nashville version of the show this season!
PitchBlak & Naughty Professor
/Had a great time opening three shows last week for Naughty Professor with Chali 2na of Jurassic 5 fame. Chali is a legend and Naughty Professor brings the funk hard!
2-a-Days
/Crazy day of gigs this Saturday. Started off with a 9:30 arrival at Coney Island for the Lagunitas Beer Circus. It was a fun event and the folks at Lagunitas have always been good to us. Had a little bit of time before driving to Connecticut for a lovely wedding in Falls Village. The wedding party seemed to have a great time and it was just as fun for us! Got home around 2am, totally exhausted but fulfilled.
